07/25/2026 For my goodbye series, I wanted to make sure I included the public library. Though I have mostly frequented the Newport Beach Public Library, I have visited other libraries as well as a way to pass the time. The library is a wonderful place to get inspired, read book summaries, and feel in awe of the sheer number of books that have been written over time. I will say… learning how to check-out (place holds) online and just pick up my books from the shelves near the entry point when ready (complete with my full name) has been a game changer! I took a picture of the “return” boxes because I often get notices to return books (lol). Sometimes I get a stack of books (well intentioned) and then I do not read them all before they are due back.
Thank you NBPL for giving me a place to go and for always keeping me informed about my book statuses! You will be missed. xo
