Fashion Island (Newport Beach, CA)

7/20/26 After eating lunch at the Wild Strawberry Cafe (highly recommended), I ventured to Fashion Island. Truth be told, I mostly end up at Fashion Island 1-2x/year (with the exception of Whole Foods of course) for one of three reasons:
– it is Christmas season and I need to get hot chocolate from Starbucks + watch people take pictures in front of the 90-foot Christmas tree (an Op tradition)
– I have an event that warrants a new outfit (nothing to wear)
– I’m bored and out of ideas for self-entertainment (don’t want to be at home)
My mom would say I am not fun to shop with. Though I have improved, I would say that still holds truth. After 1-2 stores, I am usually over it. The nice thing about Fashion Island is that I can just meander, sit by the water fountain, or observe fish in the Koi pond! That is what I did today… see evidence below 🙂 ->

Lol, accidentally captured this guy and I was like … how perfect. I bet that’s what shopping people look like.
Checking out the Koi pond.
Lily Pads.
Proof that I did try on at least one item before exiting the store.
Check out that a double-s. Tempting. I love denim and basic Ts. (I resisted because moving people do not need more clothes)

Thank you, Fashion Island, for being a place to get gelato, feel the spirit of the snowless Christmas season, get groceries, walk, attend a movie, or support wardrobe growth. You will be missed! xoxo
