07/14/26 The Sergerstrom Center for the Arts and The South Coast Repertory located in Costa Mesa, California should be represented in my blog series of OC favorites. The theater(s) have accessible parking nearby ($15 if you park in the structure). There is usually a ticket for one remaining at the ticket counter. I always ask for the cheapest seat, which tends to land me in the balcony and means I will be climbing some stairs.
The theater is a place where individuals, for a duration of time, put their phones down to focus on a present story. Tonight, I watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It was an amazing performance! I was in awe of the special effects, music, lighting, design, and talent. The narrative was mixed with elements of humor, suspense, and love. I will be reflecting on embedded themes and lessons throughout the rest of the week.
Theaters… Thank you for being a place for me to take a seat when I was alone and needed somewhere else to be! Thank you for the entertainment, laughs, and enlightenment. You will be missed! xo
