From a distance at the beach, a small child made eye contact with me
Wide-eyed wonder, she waved and pointed at the ocean with curiosity
Her mom said, “It’s her first time,” as they walked barefoot hand in hand
Leaving different sized footprints, yet together, in thy sand
Delight, a domino effect
As I took a picture mid reflect
Tiny human awe, a mother’s joyful first moment share
Me a lucky witness, just happened to be there
All in a present moment, passing by
A love sign, relationship spy
