Simply Op

Work with kids they say, what a thrill 
Germs, tolerance build, eventually you will 
Hah, maybe to some degree 
Yet vulnerable and at risk, woe is me 
Runny nose, fatigued, and coughing too
Momentary chat, we do
Parent says, “Allergies” as if to give a sudden onset reason
Lie detected, as if I have not worked with their child through every season 
“Go home,” suddenly extremely hard to say 
Parent still arrived for a clinic service that bills insurance pay 
Oh dear, oh my 
Why? why? why? 
Take it easy, love them, and pray 
Down that vitamin c, wash hands… that is the higher way
Bam, provider sick, call-out 
Must be those “allergies” spread, no doubt 
Welp, couch status, not so bad 
Alive, reason enough, to be glad. ❤ 

Lessons:
“allergies” not to be trusted
parents keep your kids home if they are symptomatic/sick
don’t work with kids (just kidding, I think… :D)
