A New Year ’26

Shall I sit and think about the year considered past
2025, blink, 2026 fast
Without pressure, to take a pause
Breathe in, breathe out, alive, applause
Goals, did I ever really set
Or was it just an accumulation of progress, a present daily flow with each day met
Worth, not dictated by what has or has not been achieved
Breathe in, breathe out, relieved
Twelve unlived months with each day a new start
To keep walking in faith, one step at a time, beat beat thy heart!
(2025-2026)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
– Proverbs 3:5-6

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2: 8-9

Comment: The onset of a New Year can prompt a zoomed out future focus with plentiful ideas for change and growth. It may trigger a variety of emotions or even lead to a state of anxious-overwhelm. As a reminder, no one can live 12-months in one day. If you want to focus on your 1% daily betterment, you are more than okay. xo
